yes you're given 1000 grams of fuel, but when fuel is introduced when you're miles away from home, and a day later you get a message saying 'Fuel is now introduced', it's a bit frustrating :P

We've had to abandon our vehicle. It is useless. We can walk up and down and up and down again and still beat the vehicle. It travels at about 1% every 3 hours. it will take 300 hours to get to the next town, at LEAST.

It should be increased to just above walking speed, I reckon. Some wooden carts can be heavier than the vehicle in question, yet reach the town earlier. Is confuzzling.

I think it should be reduced to exactly walking speed, or if it must just under it. Once you get a car or something rolling, it isn't all that difficult to keep it moving unless you come to a hill or something.

Not sure if Returner is correct or not but 300 hours is extreme and probably not intended.

Agreed with the walking speed suggestion. That's our minimum wage, the Player Union should hold the line against these oil-industrial complex forced changes. :D

This would be great. Perhaps for every additional person, the speed of the vehicle is increased (as there is more strength to push it) but it is only increased by half the strength of the previous person.
So speed calculation would work like this:
1 person = 1x modifier
2 people = 1.5x modifier
3 people = 1.75x modifier
4 people = 1.875x modifier

etc

To be honest it's simply not hard at all for one person to push a car once it starts moving. I've done it with my own car (while having to steer) and I'm hardly a strong person.

More people wouldn't necessarily make the job all that much easier, but it doesn't matter. The main point is there needs to be a realistic speed at which cars move when out of gas.

Just a tiny bit faster then walking but slower then any other vehicle.

Can you mix fuels in the same tank? (And if so, is it like food, and you use the least efficient first?)

1 gram of any fuel is as efficient as 1 gram of any other fuel. At least, this is what I'm led to believe. I put 1 gram of propane with 999 grams of petrol, and it says it's 1000 grams full. What fuel you use doesn't make a difference.

Just a tiny bit faster then walking but slower then any other vehicle.

Why a little faster? Riding a gasless car down hill?

No, keep it slower, firstly to teach the chars a bit of prudence, and also to help foil thieves...

Does this mean you can now get out of a car on the road? I'm sure that was never possible.

It's not really teaching prudence, when the change comes suddenly and some characters have little access to fuel straight away.

That's not correct. The capacity is 1000g for all fuels, but they are consumed at different rates.

Why does bio diesel take 176 grams per travel tick?

The players were given over a month notice of this change. If you can't handle that, then nothing will satisfy you. The system was implemented with great care and thought. Vehicles without fuel will never move faster than a walk, and should always, always run slower.

As Cantr has no weather effects that would cause a car to have difficulty in moving, pushing a car and getting it going IS faster then walking.

It's like riding in a box with wheels... which is STILL faster then walking.. but sometimes you gotta push it.

The character is still moving on his own two feet. If he can move faster pushing a car than walking normally, it begs the question of why he can't move faster without the car?
