Animal explosion
All locations just had a huge surge in animal population. Is there a reason for this?
I know one of my chars is dead, she won't survive 15+ of 6 different aggressive animals. :/

I had this problem about 1 or 2 cantr years ago. Mine actually had to go to the next town to gather healing foods...repeatedly. lol Luckily, my poor little hermit managed to build herself a shack, and store up some healing foods while the populations were low. Hopefully it's enough.

Eh... My hermit character's going to die too, I don't have tomatoes conveniently growing around her clearing. I'll be lucky to finish getting enough grass to build a hut by the time she's nearly dead, much less build one.
Also I must admit that the name of the thread title inspired a much different theory in my mind regarding the subject of the thread than the one I discovered upon entering it

While I agree that it's annoying, I don't think it should change. I've always supported mechanisms in game which make life harder for Cantrians to survive (as right now it's a breeze). Some things could include food shortages in towns, forcing migrations.. overpopulation of animals and floods etc.
I think it's more fun, personally, when it's a struggle to survive out in the wilderness.

The problem is that there are no neighboring "towns" in the vicinity. This character is truly alone out in the wilderness. Plus he's about to run of food. :(
I enjoy challenges like this too (I thought that it was actually pretty amusing when the animals were dying out), I'm just a little sad for my little hermit. He has/had so many plans!

Cantrians have little to no understanding of conservation.
Thanks for the repopulation. I know it's going to cause problems for some chars, but there are plenty others who were starving or having other hardships from the loss of animals.
