Speedometer

Postby Piscator » Sun Jan 03, 2010 1:27 pm

Some people apparently have problems figuring out much fuel they're consuming since they don't know how fast they are moving. Although checking the max speeds in the wiki allows for a good guess, some sort of speedometer would be nice (and not too far fetched, since it is standard equipment in most real life vehicles). I'm not necessarily talking about an actual instrument, a simple "you are moving at xyz pixels per hour" should be sufficient. Might be even better since pixels are pretty OOC.

I'm not sure if pixels is the correct measurement since I don't think the paths in the old continents are to scale, right?

That might be, but the cars speed is still calculated in pixels per hour. Due to the exceptionally curvy road, you would make less progress than expected, but you would be able to calculate your fuel consumpion based upon it and matching your speed to a walker might also get easier.
