You really want to be able to see yourself mechanically hit someone with a soldering iron?
Why do you need that when you can rp burning them with it and then mechanically "put out the fire" With a screw driver...

Have you ever actually tried to wield a soldering iron as weapon? Well the limited range due to the cable on it will make any enemy laugh at you.

Since it has a handle of sorts and a somewhat sharp tip, it could be used as a crude stabbing weapon.
