We could, but the credits system is not what it should be.
The vast majority of veteran players don't have 15 characters, so I don't see any way that it would detract from the game. If it's removed from the world, it can't influence it except via radio (and we could even deny the area radios by making certain resources unavailable, or at least limit them to short range versions).
Dudel argues against exclusivity, but it's an exclusivity that would be necessary if we were to limit it to staff. Joshua's right that we wouldn't have nearly as many characters there if it was staff-only, but we could always open it up later to more players if it flopped, so I don't think that argument alone is enough to torpedo it.

This would be the ultimate breach: One allowed and promoted by staff itself.
The creation not only of an organization but a whole exclusive area for staff?
The Capital Rule would need to be changed so the rest of players could gather chars OOCly too... even when they would do it without staff facilitation, eh?
In the Spanish forums people is asking why staff doesn't solve urgent issues.
The creation of organizations should take place in the game - not among your personal characters, and not offline among your friends who also play unless you have legitimate in-game contact.

Alf, your argument isn't valid. The capital rule is the rule that governs player behavior. It never has and never will cover mechanical implementation. The players playing in this area would be held to the same rules as every other player.
As for urgent issues: The only reason urgent issues are not being addressed is because people with the expertise to address them are not available. If it was in my power to do so, the animals would have been fixed years ago. However, this is not the appropriate place to discuss this.

I'm actually for making it a staff only area but I feel then we would miss some of the really really good roleplayers who are not in staff. Prehaps if we meet someone we think deserves to join staff land we can invite them or something. So the players that join are hand picked by staff? I like that idea xD

I'm not really sure about this. If a veteran area did exist, I think there should only be one or two characters allowed per player into the area and a minimum character requirement (maybe 3 or 5?) for getting a character into the special area so that new, non-staff characters will still be able to play with experienced, well-developed characters.
But...what would this area be? It couldn't be a new island, and if it were a place on an existing island, couldn't new non-staffers travel to it? Unless roads were severed. I don't know.
I am not a staff member, and so I don't know what it's like (though I have seen plenty of angry players arguing with staff), but the idea of any kind of separate area with requirements seems a little unlike Cantr to me.

I think it has already been established that the new area would only allow one character per account. And if it was for especially dedicated players, they'd be likely to be active in the main world with several old characters. And even if all the characters on the new region were played by experienced players, the characters would start as newspawns without any personal histories so it might be more difficult to feel attached to them.

Only one character per player would be there, and I'd prefer not to have the character requirement (not that I wouldn't fit it). We can't force people to have more characters, or even to play Cantr at all.
From what has been said, I think it would be more like a road severing (in a fairly isolated place anyway).

True. I hope no one decides to drop all characters except their 'special area' ones, but now that I think about, people who are dedicated enough to be around for a year or join the staff wouldn't do that anyway.

I like it. It shouldn't be on the Cantr map though. Just not a good idea, really.

It's simple, they would take over the world or kill one another in the first year. Becayse the Vets are good even if you hate there style or them or love them they are all great at diffrent things. If you put them all in one place and no newspawns to deal with as in Noob players well get ready for some fun.
