I think it would make more sense if the ages were relative, like "much younger than you", "somewhat younger than you", "about your age", "somewhat older than you" and "much older than you". The categories would grow broader as your character ages. For people in their twenties, "about my age" would be +/-2 years while in some point it might be +/-10 years. It would also be useful to include "a young man/woman" when "much younger than you" would be an understatement" and "an old man/woman" (or the current he/she is very old) in the other end. I'll try to draw a graph.

I like this idea, if you want to know someone's age you could guess it based on that, or just ask. Much more realistic that way since people have to do that IRL

I second this. I also think that strength should be reimplemented so that others can see it, just relative to your own strength (not like it was before, where it was compared to "average"). This means that the whole comparison to average in regards to strength should be dropped. But that's a different suggestion.

HOME RUN! I like'm both.
Though average would remain average, no one would really know what that is.

eh...I like ages the way they are...I see no reason to change them.

This is all too complicated.

I do like this one. It actually makes sense compared to some of the other ideas in this thread...although I still don't fully understand the point. I mean what difference is this really going to make?
SIMMONS--SNOWWIS--hmmm interesting don't you think

For someone in their twenties, everyone past 60 would look old, while for someone in their 60s, maybe everyone under 40 would look young, while maybe people past 80 would look old (no one ever admits themselves as old). Although I thing it would be useful to be able to tell the difference between newspawns and people who are young in another way, even if the observer was 120 years old.

Newspawns could have a baby-like sheen to their skin ;-)

Newspawns have soft soles of the feet. If they travel or enter enough buildings, the soles of their feet will grow thicker, but if they're sleepers then they'll remain soft. It's just hard to see the difference until the person dies.
