Last day at work today. Mixed feelings. I've laughed, cried and smiled my way through many many years with these guys.. since I was a carefree 19yo. They begged me to stay. They gave me a diamond necklace as a farewell. They let me do one final ceremonial lock up. Aww.

I've been working as an intern in an elementary school kitchen for three days now. I prefer it to going to class but it makes my back and feet hurt. I also haven't been getting enough sleep. Monday I'll have three hours of school, Tuesday nothing, Wednesday school Christmas party and then Christmas vacation, yay! Jan 12 going back to the kitchen.

Yeah. And I wish I did get paid for it... I just get regular student benefits, which don't account for much. But hey, free food! I ate a second helping today since it's so sad how we have to throw food in the trash when the teachers didn't inform the kitchen that the kids were having a Christmas potluck today. There were boys saying it's such a shame there is such good food and they can only eat a bit because they already have their stomachs full of candy.
