Am I saying I like the way yugo plays? FUCK NO! yugo is an irritating shithead, and he not only KNOWS THIS... he thinks it is funny.

Am I saying that he should be allowed to play how he wants? Yes, I am. Regardless of how "we want" he should play how HE WANTS.

Am I saying that drooping the words "game mechanics" is "okay"? Yes, if it was an accident and/or doesn't happen often. Shit happens.

Am I saying that "keeping the fantasy setting" is total bullshit? Yes, I am. The game's "setting" is a vague and boring ball of gray play-doh and it's up to the PLAYERS to make it something else. We each have our own views as to what that is.

Am I saying that mechanics WIN over RP? Yes I am... and they ALWAYS will. The mechanics ARE Cantr... and ALWAYS WILL BE. If you want something that ISN'T, then go do a PbP forum. Those have ZERO mechanics.

Oh? Did you write the CR? Because it seems that you do the same thing. Everyone seems to like to read the CR and make of it what they will. It's because of players like you all that they have had to explain in more detail the CR and that only gave more people more to cry about

Sorry Dudel, but you got it exactly the wrong way around. Without RP and yes RP is a "fantasy setting" Cantr is boring as hell and only a multi-room chat, where you say whatever you want be it Michael Jackson or whatever, and only strive out to make weapons and kill other participants. That sure was never the idea of cantr, which *did* set out to create a "virtual society" (regardless that I see this shooting over the goal to make a good game). If you are idea of a good game is to leave a trail of bodies you really better at home at other online games, my tip, enter "MUD" maybe together with "hack'n'slash" in google to filter out the RP MUDs and pick one this multitude.

Cantr is at least Game Mechanics + Player Department enforcing the CRB. (+a lot of people who are mentally able to play interesting characters)

There is no such thing as mechanics "winning" over RP, that what the whole Thread is about, or OP got wrong from the start, mechanics *are* RP.
