Real pity, he was one of the oldest characters around, I think. No doubt that ship has long since been stolen and renamed. End of an era really, I'll never enjoy RP with anyone as much as Devon's player. Sob.

Edit: I was just thinking... when was I with you and... Gosh.. I just remembered. LMAO. That was pretty funny. Sure annoyed Jeremy and Tish that day.

Devon Dobbs? I've seen his map... or is/was it an atlas?

Whatever.

LOL I think you might be thinking of Hobbes, not Dobbs. Dobbs was the leader in Drojf Hills North I believe.

I believe he died on that ship, if the rumours I heard were correct. Of course my dearest Antoinette was busy causing trouble in MacGregorville by that time, as a form of heartbroken, misplaced revenge.

Lol
And, I think he actually died in some closet somewhere. I remember dragging his body. They put him on the boat and gave him a burial at sea. Invited people in the neighboring towns to attend his funeral. The SS Dobbs was stolen just after that, I think.

Yeah I took the boat. Stuffed a ton of dead bodies in the lighthouse named in his honor too.

:( Patricius built a marker to match his brother Seth's. The brothers are together once again.

Shit, the one I left him in. That was one memorable closet.

I wish that player would surface again. I'd offer them a retainer to play R.

Lol I can only imagine what went on in that closet...as much as I'd prefer not to  Things got pretty boring there after Toni left and Devon died...and then Tish was running the town

The only thing that made DHN exciting, at any time (for me), was the constant fear of being killed by somebody (macs, emeralds). When the pervasive boring-ness dulled his wit, he lost his fear. Then he was killed by the emeralds...

I think I was in DHN once, but the whole "Don't mess with [some tribe or another] or they'll kill you" wasn't really native to that area. It didn't matter if I was in Seatown, Pok, or New Xanth, there was always SOMEBODY to fear.
Maybe the lesson should be to pick the side that *is* feared so there's no need to worry?

Well, sometimes, in the case of the Emeralds, you think they're dead so no worries. At other times, you don't even know you made enemies (or someone from your town made enemies), and they just randomly show up and kill you. Sometimes, some random fellow just drags you into his house and beats you senseless. I hate when my charries die out of the blue. Sucks.

Yes, I must agree with that, happened to me a few times with my favorite characters. :(
I've only found myself on a more feared side once, and I must say that it was a nice change from the small towns I normally end up in

4-Day Rule

Postby Doug R. » Sat Dec 12, 2009 3:24 pm

Ladies and Gents,

The 4-Day rule means you are not allowed to discuss Ongoing Events until four days after they're not ongoing. Some events may be considered ongoing for Cantr years.

Wow, uh.. every event witnessed by more than one character would be having ongoing effects of some sort, potentially forever. You'd have no way to know.. so that rule effectively means.. discuss nothing, ever?
