And not everyone can move to the the nearest food source. For small islands and language groups with only two or three towns with food sources, that limits us to two or three charries, since we can't have more than one charrie in each town. Some of us have to live in the forest. Or the swamp.

You're not disallowed to have two of the same character in a town, you just can't have them cooperate.

We need a solution, yes, but not fast....I remember this problem coming up before. A long time ago....they fixed it alright. Some towns were filled with wild animals and they would attack all the time lol...A few of my chars were stuck in side with others, sharing one weapon, and only going out side to attack. every one took turns getting food too...Lost a lot of good people in that town....

Please take your time fixing the problem.....but fix it please

That ...happened in Baaak a long time ago, it was very fun though. I remember Goliath was the best hunter he kept those lions away and my character idiolized him over since...well..in her mind at least. :P

I remember that it took them a long time to get the aggression down, but then the problem again was reproduction rates lol....a lot of towns wiped out all animals because of fear of being attacked...causing a problem again lol... But then that was the towns fault

A shortage of animals can be interesting and also situations where there is a huge pack of lions outside and you can randomly die in a day are also interesting as long as they don't continue forever. If everything is balanced and predictable, it gets boring.

That can never be interesting from a characters or players point of view.

Maybe interesting for someone who have access to the DB and can take out all kinds of statistics, but for a player to lose a dear character in a day due to animal aggression it's just annoying. :)

Of course it's annoying or upsetting to the player of the dead character but it will make others remember the fragility of life and bring them closer together. It also brings new sides out of people when you have to take care of someone who's so seriously wounded that they might die in one hit if they went outside, yet the only way of getting healing food is by staying outside to farm or gather. I remember helping to gather healing food for someone on Sserperia island I didn't even know, just because there were so little people left that every life was valuable. And I remember in Mulof north how we had to stay inside and go hunt the lions each day and sometimes risk to gather healing food even though it could mean risking more damage. Seko swore to kill all the lions but when the last one vanished, he actually went searching for it in the neighboring locations and there was a bit of a hollow feeling that they were now gone.

You would be surprised how many people complained when the animal numbers were capped.

Agreed. I loved when Burgeo was savage and I'd even lost a char to the animals there. Aki used to be more dangerous, too. :(

Wish I knew French. I've heard the animals are a real challenge in that language zone.

They can be depending on what animal... but 20-30 pigeons (today) won't kill someone but I still haven't seen the places that are uninhabited...

Even in the French zone, the bears and boars mostly sleep. There are a lot, but they don't seem to attack.
