Was there a final ruling on this? I recently came across some stuff with violent sexual content that even shocked me, and I'm freaking old. I wouldn't want any minor to stumble upon that crap by accident.

People who have the need to express themselves like that in a RPG where they know minors are allowed need help. And (if note wasn't a fake) this was witnessed in third person, and not a private conversation.

what about just setting it up so that when you set up your account, you state your age. If you are a minor, your chars names, and descriptions could be in a different color. This could let other players no that this player is a minor.

Short of that, I agree that OOC is all that should be needed (OOC: I am under 18)

I've seen a couple of those "not cool dude", type of notes... BUT, there isn't a line for "writing"... and I just stopped reading, it.

HOWEVER, a message.... of some type wouldn't hurt anyone. A warning or a "Are you 18" and other things of that nature.

But labeling minors IG would encourage OOC CRB behavior. I don't think that one would fly unless there was a change to the CR, itself.

It will be addressed in the new TOS. Distinguishing minors just makes them targets for sickos, so that is in no way an option.

The correct course of action is to contact the PD and ask for age of majority verification before engaging in explicit RP. This has always been the policy, even if it's not published prominently (as we want to avoid appearing to endorse such activity).

Players of age need to take responsibility for their actions, and the parents of minors need to be monitoring their children's activities. There's very little that Cantr can do short of banning explicit content or making Cantr 18 to play, which would probably mean 75% of the players would either be banned or quit.

Yea right. OOC in the format:

1234-5 A says *Uses his X to Y her Z and watches her tremble in pain*

And with XYZ i'm not talking about any object you'll find in cantr. Cantrians doesn't have them explicitly. XYZ are words I rarely use, well maybe Y (but in a completely different context). And I am not prude or anything.
