Spawning

When I started back in the beginning of 800s, it seemed like a good idea to have background stories, but it can be problematic because you are forced to forget about the stories or ignore them, knowing you'll never find the people involved. A background story can be a driving force, but eventually when your character realized they can never get back to the world before spawning, they will suffer a crisis and either die or stop believing in their own story, thinking it was just a dream.

However, I make vague reference to things that MIGHT have been in a character backstory which may not have "actually happened" to the character.
One such instance was a character had been involved in talking about "birth parents" and mine eluded that maybe he was raised by animals.

The first time I played a few years ago, and now the second time as of a few days ago, I've role-played as having very little knowledge of the world and how it works. Ie, my characters are like a sponge - they'll latch on to the first group or organisation or person who talks to them, with no regard for what is good and evil.
I let them develop their own ideas slowly, even if no other characters see this progression / appreciate this progression.
Also, my characters usually 'stumble' into beingness, and I usually avoid talking about pre-20's.

There are many things which are not supported, but with roleplay they are included in the game. Like marriages, trade etc.
In the most times, a backstory have a conflict with the skills of the chars.
But I think to say my charakter had a punch on his head it's such a thing and it is interesting. Or when you only say my char is shy because... That is a backround. I find it interesting.

Since roleplay is not in any way supported by the game engine, I personally think it's a waste of time to develop it.
About spawning, in my mind my chars lived their uneventfull life in the place they spawned learning language, wiki knowledge and stuff and now having reached adolescence start to wonder what to do with their life.

And somehow, for two decades, no one in the town ever noticed your character before...Are you suggesting that pre-twenties characters are invisible? That's pretty radical interpretation. Also, the mechanics don't support your interpretation - Two foreigners can dock to your town and make a foreign newspawn in a day. This character clearly was not in your town learning for two decades, and since spawning can't happen on ships, they clearly weren't on the ship.
The only logical interpretation is that they appear out of nothing.
