Surprise gift

Postby SekoETC » Mon May 10, 2004 2:14 pm

It could be nice to have the ability to roll items in a hide or a piece of fabric so that others would just see something like "X gives Y a small package". This would allow secret trades as well surprise gifts. Like, you can buy a wedding ring if you don't want your fiancé(e) to see you making it, but he/she would notice it when the trade happens and that would spoil the surprise. Unless of course you would leave town, but that would cause suspicions as well as pointless travelling.

I think it is a good idea...although it shouldn't be prioritated over the more important things.

Excellent idea, and hasn't been suggested before I believe.

I'm not thinking gifts and such tho. More like equipping your partners with arms.
Most organised locations would ban it rightaway I'd guess. :P

I wonder how long it would take after that change for players to demand horse skulls.

I like the idea of Packages... would help in delivering certian amounts of goods when dealing with someone traveling for someone else... It could be sealed like an envelope...

Or if, when genes are implemented, you happen to have been born with a small head...
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. It is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Only I will remain.

...or you could just be able to enclose small objects in a normal envelop.

woman in her twenties says: "Oh my got, a note! It's just what i've always wanted. Oh and you HTML scripted it for me!!! *lovable* ohhhhhh! that is so cute!!"

if they where made to be sealable like envelope's large area's would probably make it illegal to just hand them over they'd have to go through a postal service. where they'd be checked for contraband and cleared for posting. anything illegal could be confiscated and charges placed of course

I think that in a large ammount of areas, it will not be banned to hand anything over that's sealed. Is it illigal in some areas to exchange envelopes?
People won't get suspicious of much, especially if there's a bit of coverup dialogue before the transaction.
On the other hand you could have something like:
*****
you see a man in his twenties pull a small/large object out of a box

*****
then people would start to wonder what the object is, and then when people start getting hit by sabers, the local government may ban any parcel passing for a while untill the matter is resolved.
