Display problems - Akypor Forest (south)

Postby AmateurHistorian » Mon May 10, 2004 9:16 am

Two problems on the Location screen for Akypor Forest (south):

(1) The map is blurry and unusable.
(2) The "pump for water" icon is missing, and always has been as long as I've been in Akypor Forest.

Any possible fixes?

Yes, the map has an orange dot. But the map itself is blurry and pixelated; it looks like it's a 16x enlargement of a much smaller image. It really doesn't show me anything at all.

That image isnt meant ot be used as a map. Never was the purpose of it.

Maps come by the characters and by the players like You, not just handed to you like other games. Its all part of the rp.

~scratches his head~ so giving us a blurry, unreadable image was intentional?

Yes making the image of the location larger was intentional so that it can actually be seen, as i said its not meant as a map its meant to give you an idea your next to the ocean, deep in the forest, stuck in the desert. Its only blurry becuase its larger than its supposed to be, what i believe anyway.

If you do make a visual map for an individual character please send it in. We can host it on the server and that character can use it within the game via a note and distribute as many copies of that note as they need with that single charcter.

Please send it in JPG or GIF format.

it's supposed to simulate what you would be able to see if you were standing there in the town. it wouldn't be realistic for you to know what the whole region looks like unless you had been everywhere and recorded it or got the info from someone else.
