I wonder if there's anyway to see how many bodies are buried in Lad? ...ah...the good ol days...

I joined the guard when I spawned in Lad. I figured it was the only way I would stay alive. Right now I'm on some mission that I think is hopeless, but my character won't give up.

Are you new to the game?

Yes Riclenseth, I'm new. And as far as I know, I didn't know I had to sign up for any citizen papers. It'd be polite in the future for some more clear explinations set out before you go ahead and decide to just play god and control an entire town of people just because they didn't happen to see a piece of paper.

Some places are like that. You're lucky that Blojt is so nice to lock you up and give you fair warning of what is to come next. Some places would have just killed you.
Anyways, the laws in Blojt are clearly laid out and posted on the ground. It also tells you exaclty what to do.
And none of my characters were involved in the dragging. That was probably Lady Castellese, Lord Stewart, and any guard members that were active at the time.

Oh yeah, don't expect people to be polite. There are many rude characters and just as many characters that do believe they are god and do control whole towns (some of these characters control many towns).

It seems to me that lately a lot of new players have been coming on and complaining about what happens in towns that have the inactive laws...

This not only happens on the boards, but it happens ooc in game as well.
I don't mind the inactive laws at all. HOWEVER --it makes new people miss the point of the laws in certain towns because it happens so quickly. Thus resulting in them being bitter toward the game as a whole! As well as having a resentment for that certain town.

I question something here in this post--which is:
When the inactive laws were started were they not started to help keep towns safe as well as hope to have the inactives become active? This can now be achieved in certain towns especially blojt! I'd say even if you were to add more days to the inactives law. I believe it is three at the moment, couldn't it be made to five ? I mean certainly it would have to be done IC. But it has been so long since those laws were implemented in these towns. (The two i am thinking of) that surely by now you have enough man power and guards, that adding days to the law isnt or wont harm your town???
Just a Q/suggestion.

I'm just saying this because it was hard for MYSELF to get a char spawned a while back into a town where there was a law like that. EVEN when i already KNEW that town had those laws!
I hate to see new players misunderstand the game is all :( And I suppose that if towns don't ever change the amount of days on the inactives law that SOME players will eventually catch on. But can you imagine how many it has also scared away?????!!!!!

I don't believe that. I don't think anyone is scared away. No matter what town your spawned into. I don't know of any town that just kills people the minute they're born.

I'd have to dissagree with that because people in Blojt are usually warned a few times. Also, depending on how long your character ignored the fact they're supposed to introduce themself makes a big difference too.

I still wonder how my character in Lad managed to survive and in fact grow, while constantly breaking Lad's laws (like talking out loud and generally being a pain in the ass.)

I've introduced every one of my characters when they were made. I log into this at least twice a day. I didn't realize the rules there... but why do I fall under inactive? I've been working and occasionally commenting. So I don't stay and hold a 40 page conversation with somebody. Is that to say I am inactive? I am a quiet person. So would you say I'm dead because I don't speak? I don't see how this game, if you guys can even call it that, as games are meant to be fun, can be based on real life. Real life actually has people with some sense of decency.

Apperently you find Cantr isn't fun. Well, that's your opinion. For me, Cantr is ONLY fun.

Only talking about it makes me happy. Just imagening that Cantr is so big, with so many players...

Complain about it when you get out IC. The Blojt power players most likely read this. Don't be surprised if your comment falls on deaf ears because the Blojt characters not players are too hung up on themselves.

As for me Blojt is on the top of my grrrr list right now and I am no longer there thanks to those meany characters and some other non-Blojt knuckle-head charcters that were in the area. But the past is the past and my chracters death did allow my next character to get to know a new and better place.

Not inactive more around that you weren't following their laws. You were unlucky that your character was spawned in a hard place to start. We call them inactive sweeps because it is mostly that but it includes people who obviousely aren't inactive but they weren't following the law.
Plus as in real life there are decenct people and there are wicked people. You just haven't met the decent people yet because you ran foul of the wicked people.
And by the way you can create new characters at this time. From what I have heard, you haven't realized that you can create more characters. I know this because you keep complaining about your one character and how it isn't fun anymore.
