I think red for damage would be universal. It always takes a while to see if something serious has happened.

I like it - would save me using Ctrl+F to find 'to you' or 'hits you' with my characters in busy areas...

My suggestion:
Anything involving you is bolded, i.e.:
Your actions
Whispers to you.
Being given things.
Attacks on (and dragging of) you.
Finished projects you started or were working on.

NO!!!! They changed it before and had to change it back. I think the plan is eventually to let you customize it and that way it won't be hard coded.
