I've remedied the faulty header links on the Zine

I was thinking and discussing with a few people, considering the lack of interest/input, that perhaps the best way is neither a continuation of the Zine as a blog or issue-oriented, but rather being encompassed into the forums in a "Literature/Gallery Section." This could provide for more user interaction and a readier, steadier (public) inflow, but alas it would still be very well kept by a moderator allowing only pertinent pieces.

There is also a new zine available, which seeks to highlight some of the hits as well as some new articles, especially various types of puzzles. An interesting trend seems to be a shift from more historical articles to more short stories, though with strong consistent series throughout, including Tips & Tricks, Poetry, Comics and, of course, Statistics. I was talking to Ulo and it seems as if this may be the last Issue of this quarterly release variety, especially given declining interest in the Zine. It'll be interesting to hear what GAB and CD have in store for the Zine.

The GAB has nothing in store for the Zine.

We have umpteen million other things to worry about. The Zine should be a grassroots effort, and if the players can't keep it alive on their own, I don't see how any top-down effort can save it.

I like the idea of a fanwork forum section, where you can just post stories and the like.

I really like this one! I loved re-reading about Cantr City, having been in the thick of things on that one way back when. :-) It is interesting because my entire outlook on the situation was that Piers was a murdering .... well, lol. He did come and bring his version of peace, but those, like my charrie, who tried to stay were killed without any hesitation.

Then it is funny because I had a character who was doing very well in the LAD empire -- and never once thought of herself as evil!! :-)

So, is this officially deceased, or is there still interest? If we can't agree on a new format, perhaps simply going to a twice a year format would be better.

Do we still have an editor? I think Ulo's inactive.

Yeah... shouldn't the sticky etc be either A) Removed B) Be now looking for a new editor C) Finding the "Zine" a new home or D) Any combination of these.

I was thinking I could do something like this and it wouldn't get regular updates... only updates when there were "entries".

ALSO, things would be in blog format with comments disabled, etc.

However, I think the general interest is lacking.... and it would be better if people could post their own stories etc and skip the middle man.

Just make a section "User Articles" and things are all solved.

I'm with Wiro, provided it doesn't get "flamey" or anything of that nature. However, you couldn't post anonymously anymore.

Yes you can. If there's someone who wants to make a "this and that character did that and this blah blah blah" article then people can just PM that person as if they were the editor of the "zine". For articles you wouldn't need to be anonymous, right?
