Okay, I am wondering if I can get a little help here for a mistake I made. I understand that the answer may be that my character will just have to deal with the mistake as any person would...
You need 6000 grams of thin rope to make 3000 grams of medium rope.
I spent a long time twining string.
I used a rope machine to turn the string into thin rope.
I saved up 6000 grams of thin rope.
Now I can start my project for 3000 grams of medium rope.
I accidentally started a project for 6000 grams of medium rope.
I don't have 12000 grams of thin rope needed for that project and I can't make anymore thin rope because my rope machine is being used to make medium rope.
To make a long story short, I am requesting that the rope project I started for 6000 grams be changed to a 3000 gram project.

Yeah, I added half the thin rope already. I had the number 6000 stuck in my head because thats how much thin rope I needed, not how much medium rope I wanted.
To fix the problem, I'll need to build an entire new rope machine to make the thin rope to add to the medium rope project on the original rope machine or just forget the thing all together.
I was just experimenting to see what hoists and pullies does.
