wiki hacked?

Dangit! He is changing all kinds of stuff now...

We need to get him IP banned ASAP. I wish Doug or Jos was on. I am sure they could figuere out how to do that...

Yeah he screwed up at least 20 pages. I messaged Jos and he locked the Wiki just now. So it is currently unavailable to EVERYONE until we fix the security issue. At least "it" can't screw anything else up now.

So now Jos (the real one) will find a way to increase the security?

Thats the plan. We will be disscussing it in the Staff Forum over the next few days. Hopefully we can just set up some sort of "Approved Editors" list so that only people on it can change stuff. If that is possible that would be the best solution.

I am not sure if or how you can do that with the Wiki. I am not very familiar on Wiki programming. I am sure someone knows though. :D

Yeah. I can edit pages and all of that, but I have never messed with any other functions of the Wiki, so I am not sure if a Usergroup of Editors can be set up and all others blocked or not. I am sure there is a way though, and I am sure when everyone wakes up and gets on the forums someone will know.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Rigel doing this. With him quitting and posting bad stuff about Cantr on the FTO forum.

In another game I used to play, they disabled automatic registering to their wiki due to vandalism and new accounts could only be created if you PM an administrator and they made you a user account. We might have to switch to the same system.
