Personaly I would like to lobby against all of the crap abbreviations used on the internet. It's gotten rediculous now to the point where people abbreviate entire sentices with 2 letters. I mean I'm all for lol but it should not be used in conjunction with 15 other seperate letters. Nothing pisses me off more than getting an e-mail with someone practicing their alphabet.

Thinking back to my old schooling days, I remember my teacher telling us that Moose is a strange word. It is only one of a few words out there that does not have a plural conter-part. If you think of it words are only sounds. Try this, sit down with someone and say "Door" over and over again as fast as you can. You will find that they will laugh at you because it sounds so stupid, after that try "Water" and you will find the same. Knowing that words where chosen for their sound, People probably didn't like the sound of Mooses
I noticed this in the game too, but knew that I wouldn't have to point it out as there are so many out there who like to point out spelling mistakes
Besides it doesn't bother me

I concur. We should go and lobby ... (who would change it lol?) Congress for a reform act saying that Thru should replace through. Hell in the highway, you see thruway, etc all the time!
But though doesn't mean thru. Or where you trying to mean through?

I agree. I don't even know what most of them mean anymore. I simply ignored them and move on. If they don't have the time to type at least the word (doesn't matter if it is incorrect) and abbreviate everything then I don't have the time to respond back.
Now lol and brb is fine. But it is getting out of hand especially in chat rooms.

Now that we're nitpicking: I just met some wolfs in a certain area.
Anyway. Here in Holland we get taught English English, like in the rest of the world, so yeah, it's theatre, honour, colour, armour, etc. Always got those "color" and align "center" tags wrong.

Phased transition of course, and learning both with more emphasis on metric would be good.

Metric is good for measuring. Imperial is better for human measuremants and guesswork. And if I remember correctly, the Americans use miles, don't they?
Here, we get taught metric, and do very little Imperial. But will still pick it up a lot. Heights are imperial, weights are imperial, cars work on Imperial, milk and beer is imperial... All the important things are imperial!

What do you mean. American measurements are really easy to convery I mean how can you not know 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, 5280 feet in a mile, 8 ounces in a cup, 2 cups in a pint, 2 pints in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon. I mean it's obvious isn't it. Maybe I'll make up my own measurement system where I'll throw darts at a big board of numbers to figure out their conversions.
