I don't feel inspired to play recently. Feels like a lot of players are suddenly on vacation at the same time, or at least less active and I feel like what's the point in anything? My older characters have achieved most of their goals while the young ones aren't that important. Some day I might just forget to log in. I'm not even using CantrSpy because I feel like nothing important is going to happen anyway, the most I can hope for is some meaningless trade. Other people are like let's make cars and lets make other complicated vehicles and I feel like that's going to require so many calculations and stages that I don't want to bother with it. Then young people die because they can't reach their goals because of slow old people standing in the way.

I've found myself creating strife among characters in order to keep myself amused. Its good cause I encourage others to RP as well but at the same time it becomes a toll on myself when I fluctuate the balance that was already established.

Recently I had one of my characters express how he felt about the local "guard system" and made an announcement he might leave the town due to some things.

Both of those are for me, the player, cause the town was getting stale. I don't think the character will actually leave town though.

After 10 Cantr years, and every ten after, characters need a nice push out of any ruts you might have shoved them accidentally into.

But I'm sure we have all had a time like that Seko, where we wondered why we played Cantr to begin with and where everyone is/was. Debated quitting or just didn't sign in for a day or... seven.

I think the down time, however, has to do with summer break cause I noticed it too. It'll pick up eventually. When people aren't on vacation.... at the same time.

Also, sorry, mayhaps I was part of the problem--I know I had to go away for about two weeks, and in talking to others I know they did too--although, to be fair to me, I had to see a lady about a baby [he was finally borned!] so the timing was kinda non-negotiable.

Although, having to create the being-away reason is now going to enable me to RP some really great situations, and I'm really gonna RP the shit out of those mother fuckers--so many new faces when you pass out for almost 'a year'.
