Little question/suggestion for you, if you don't mind.
Will there be any form of impassable terrain?
Either needing special equipment (eg mountains) or fully impassable eg huge ocean currents.
It's just something I've always wanted to see in Cantr, and I think it would give certain places more importance than others eg, a mountain pass becoming a fortified outpost, maybe a small island inaccessable to the rest of the world.

Course I don't mind.
There is no impassable terrain, but travelling through some terrain is going to be very difficult (high mountains, deserts, swimming, etc) - travelling speed is dynamic and you cannot walk forever - you will need to stop and rest when exhausted. There are plenty of tiny islands on the map that I'd imagine will remain undiscovered for a very long time - the map is very large. I've not started work on currents yet, but that could make it very difficult to reach some areas like you say. Shallow sea depths around the continents will make docking large ships quite a treacherous activity as well.
There is one extremely high mountain on the map that I could see turning into an outpost one day, it is in a fairly unique location. Many of the small islands are quite different too - from complete desert to tropical to sharply rising mountains.
In a way, I think the game dynamics will work nicely in your favor in the mountain fortress situation - it will take a long time for people to reach your fortress, but you will see them coming the whole time. You will also presumably have lived there some time, and be acclimatised to the high altitude, and they will not be, making it far easier to defend than attack.

I'm in a bad mood
Hmmm.... I guess I'm even emotionally distant from myself. I didn't realize I was in a bad mood.
Actually I was getting a slight kick out of some of my own behavior so I am unsure.
Actually, now that I think about it, if you send me a PM I could send you the list of events that led to my "bad mood".
Or at least the reasons why I'm being a little shit, as of late.
