Forum logo is too big and have two kinds of fonts that completely doesn't fit each other. Also we have no rights to use that font and buttons shouldn't be images, cause translators would have to create new graphics every time they change/add translation.

The photos look nice but overall it looks a bit too crowded. And people would probably be disappointed if the main page was fancier than the game itself. In some point it would probably be good to redesign the outlook in general and apply the changes to all the pages so that it doesn't look like patchwork. For example when people have been creating new buttons, they look slightly different each time because there's no template to use for the background and such.

Thanks for the efforts! Text links load faster and look more oldschool, though.

Menu has text links with font "Papyrus". Image's buttons are only flags.

You don't have much experience with web design, do you? Do you realize, that in order to display properly such menu everyone should have Papyrus font installed on their workstations?

Oh, Marol's right. I can't find that font on none of my computers. Even Vista seems not to include it.

This might work for future browsers though. I know there is a tag that allows you to include a font with your webpage (so people download the font while loading the page) but most browsers that are currently out can't use that tag yet.

Could just use images for the link or a font that is included in most operating systems.

It is a nice design though. But it is more fancy then the game itself, as said before. Images for the links might work- shouldn't be too hard to change languages with a simple design etc. or would it?

Doesn't CSS allow placing an image behind text? Or at least an image could be used on the background of a table. At least the login form uses tables for formatting.

Then it would look like cantr has some kind of graphics. It has none. Those would be about the only pictures in the game, not including the map.

I actually like that a lot. It would be nice to have a new, fresh look on the homepage. It is safe to say that the current home page does very little to attract new players. Yes, us cantr fans love it, but that is because we have already played Cantr and have a respect for the green screen with white letters.

However, for new players it makes it look like a crappy game, and they never even sign up to see how great it actually is.

True there are no graphics in game, but look at the top left hand side if this forum... I have never seen that shack and ocean in Cantr either. The fact is, there may be no visible images, but everything on that page he made is in game, you just use your imagination to see it.

We need more players, and new players need a home page that will interest them enough to make a character. Once the character is made, the real Cantr will have them hooked.
Every action has a consequence.

The English is a bit broken, which would "scare" away actual English speakers. Well I know I'd not join a game that was worded like that. I'm not trying to me mean. X|

Examples would be like you don't need the word "Cantr" near Wiki and Forum. It is understood that the concept on the page would link to relevant sites. The word "game" doesn't need to be after the word "About" and the word "with" doesn't have to be there at all.

I'd like to see the top bar with "New User" centered as of right now it looks awkward with a big hole at the end of it.

There is a backslash in front of 120, which seems odd and is possibly due to other things... but it is still there.

The word "register" should be DIRECTLY under and centered with the "log in button". Register should also be a button.

Stolen Notes shouldn't even be there sense it is no longer updated and there are no plans to do so in the future. It makes the game look dead/dated to a point where people will wonder why THAT (Stolen Notes) are even there.

ALSO: The "P" on Pass(word) should be capitalized.

All in all though, this is a good rough draft and looks GREAT! :D

I like the images and they draw you to wonder where that beautiful image in Cantr might be.

The Cantr forum image is good and solid, if a not a bit big.

All in all I also like the color, shadow compliment, and style of the text for "Cantr II". It has this nice free flow movement but, according to others, may not show up on other browsers. :(

Note: When a site/page/etc MAKES me download a new font or something I close the window and NEVER go to that page again. The purpose of a browser game is to NOT download, even a text font package. This behavior should be avoided.
