You'll have to be a little more explicit about your problem, Chrissy. My best guess would be that you did not enter the correct username in the field for the recipient. You can search for a username in the database, using the 'look up username' button. If you enter, for example, thomas*, you will get Thomas Pickert as a result.

If that is not related to your problem in any way, just ignore. ;)

It took me awhile to figure out espiaclly with person messages that no subject line does not work. It brings up a black box above the message after you submit. I guess that is where the error message is supposed to be saying "need a subject line".

yeah there's another thing: When there's an error, you have to highlight the text in the black box in order to see it..otherwise you might miss it.

I never experienced this. Is there a way to create such an error on purpose?

Neither have I. Maybe its the type of computer you're using. Like my computer hates to use Yahoo! messenger and will screw up when I try to use it.

Send a PM but don't put anything in the subject line and the error will occur...for me at least.

That's it, I'm sure, the fact I didn't give it a subject. I saw the big black box. lol. Thank you for your help.

Than my computer doesn't like this phpBB theme, because i get the big black box too (the evil black box! 8).

On other phpBB forums, I don't get the error in a black box (but just readable).
