well, if there were no flying creatures, we probably wouldn't have figured out flight anywhere [i[near[/i] when we did in real life, so it's not really that bad guys...

That reminds me; weather simulation or random generator? I was actually discussing Conway's 'Game of Life' earlier, and was thinking how weird weather would be using that system.

Yea, it'd be easiest with a grid, but on a sphere IDK how you're planning on doing it. I can think of a couple ways.
Still, a sphere is easier than some worlds I've seen games use... like a torus for example...
