Characters that you DO NOT want to know their player

For various reasons: Strengthening roleplay, just don't like them, etc.

Anyone that comes in contact w/ my charries in-game. I would feel as if I would be a bit prejudiced in roleplaying if I liked/disliked the player.

To tell specific people that you want to continue not knowing who is playing which specific character, I would assume.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back. :twisted:

Well then let it be known: I do not wish to discuss IC matters with other players involving any of my living characters, as that spoils the immersion.

I don't care to learn the player behind any other charris I know.. it changes RP and becomes frustrating.

I didn't like finding out Oasis' characters :-P

I agree with Sunni. It is always a great temptation to know the player, but it's far better if you resist the temptation, it can prejudice you one way or another and allow OOC influences to affect the char's behaviour.

it only helps to know a characters player if they are your slave/prisoner. or even your characters lover.

How does that help? To know if you are thier slave or lover? No, finding out may not affect RP 'all' the time, but it can affect the OOC feeling and associations with other players... It has happened to me. I played as I always would have, but the other player thought I knew who they played (I didn't) and it caused hard feelings OOC.

I also know someone who changed thier RP mid stream, because they found out who played another charri... went from murderous thoughts to being the lover, all in one sentence.. so even though I didn't search to find the player.. the other person did and it changed the RP for mine.. and that was very disheartening and I felt 'cheated' out of true RP.

so there are no hard feeling IG if they are your prisoner/slave. as for the lover part.....not sure anymore. i wasnt' really thinking when i made the post. your right. it could change RP.
