Problem with the no body rule

Postby Jaxon » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:49 pm

This guy who must have been a newspawn broke into a bunch of things inside of my town, tried to steal a van, tried to steal a raker, finally was caught after a sea chase and dragged into a locked building, but now is gone.

All of the possessions he had are still there, but I don't know for sure if the guy is dead or not because I don't see a dead body.

This rule needs to be overturned.

That made me laugh. Almost. (It was more some sort of smile in slight enjoyment.)

There has to be some way of knowing whether the no body newspawn is dead or not....

Maybe they should leave a blood puddle... Wait, you would have to clean that, so that it defeats the whole purpose of not leaving a body... Well, how about not vaporizing bodies?

The building was locked. If he had a crowbar you would hear it. Also, you would probably notice the lack of a lock later. Therefore, the only way he could escape without leaving any trace would be being released. If he wasn't released and couldn't be released given the personalities of your character's friends, then he probably just clicked the "Big X" and won't return soon.

Or....I was in a different area so I couldn't witness him leaving or not and he had a key to the building he was in.

I'm glad you see the world so simple though, I always say we need more one dimensional thinking pawns in this world.

First part; Okay.

The second part was a bit mean, wasn't it? I think GranAttacker only tried to help.

I'd like to spawn there now with a character named Hairy Porter.

Yeah, or Randolf the Gay. Err... anyway... I think the sudden disappearance of people causes more confusion than it's worth. After all, two hours is not that much. If the current system is kept, I agree that there should at least be a message of some sort.
