Indeed. But do landmarks have the same religious immortality as notes? Destroying history and all that stuff...

Notes you can put in an envelope. Landmarks are there for eternity unobscured.

I think we will have to wait for that to happen until destroying buildings is implemented. I concur though.

I agree with wear and repair. And once we can destroy buildings, include landmarks. I think wooden landmarks wear already...

Perhaps an ability to re-name them as you do with buildings? Make it a very long timeframe to update, and require a chisel instead of just a paintbrush?

Chisel -- Stone Landmark
Paintbrush -- Wooden landmark

What about that..?

How about just removing the limit so we can build more landmarks, but old ones will remain there?

You should be able to remove them at all times, I think..

Maybe you could also knock them down and put them elsewhere. In case the town folk wants to preserve it, but not in the town square. (e.g. A sign dedicated to someone who has deceased long ago.)

I think redesigning a landmark would be the the best idea. It'd be nice for example to build a landmark for road signs, but since town names change, it'd be pretty stupid to do.

I was thinking something like paintbrush/chisel would be a good idea.

Even if we don't make it where they can be destroyed right now, at least allow the engraving to be changed just like a sign on a building...
