If it's about buying resources or picking them up to use them on a project then you must know the exact amount, but if it's just about how much you're carrying, it should be enough if you say the amount in kilos and lose the grams. Although some people don't know what a kilo is, or aren't quite sure about it. Several times I've heard someone going "that's X000 grams, right?"
For health I say stuff like slightly wounded, moderately wounded, half dead, could be finished off in one hit and almost dead or could be killed with a bare fist / by some generally harmless creature. If it's 99% damage then a particularly strong wind could kill them.

No I was going to say its similar to that topic but really it isnt. Its not really for singling people out and its also a encouraging way of putting it becuase you are not just pointing out faults you are pointing out strengths and suggesting improvments.

Don't forget "I'm 50% hungry/half hungry"
Honestly I think anyone who has gone the RL equivalent of 2 or more weeks without eating wouldn't feel like they were only half starved to death. I'm sure it would feel like they could be moments away from death.
Another thing I noticed alot when I played was people forcing sleep on other characters. It's one thing if someone hasnt responded for a week but when someone asks "<name> are you awake?" and if the character doesn't reply within a few minutes. "oh, he/she must be sleeping." Players that do that have almost no interaction with any characters who aren't online the same time as them. It's Cantr, not Wow, just because they don't respond instantly does not mean they are sleeping.
Sorry if this sounds like a rant... just wanted to get that off my chest.

Do you know this from experience?

The average person can last a couple weeks I've heard :V so that's short in comparison to starving.Relegalize wrote:*Wiro wrote:Actually, if you don't eat it's worse at the start than in between starvation and when you stopped eating.
Do you know this from experience?Three days without food is the longest i've ever gone and I certainly felt more then half starved at the time. lol

Actually a human can last up to or over a month without food. That was my point, that at 3 days I already felt like I was ready to die. After two weeks I couldn't see myself telling someone "I'm okay, I'm only 50% hungry." I think I would be grabbing the nearest sharp object and begin cutting off strips of their flesh to stuff into my mouth.

I went without a meal for eighty eight days. Best diet ever.
Hunger ceases to exist, but smelling food/kitchens can be painful. And food is tough to eat after a few days of anorexia because of dehydration, I suspect. At least I had little problem restarting food consumption (tiny portions, of course, stomach size greatly reduced) by forcing myself to be thoroughly hydrated at all times.
Remember, we get a lot of our water from our food.
