Your parents have no right to hit you.
There is not one reason they could.
- Every person lost in war is two too many.
- Respect comes from two sides and must be earned. Nobody has the right to it because of a title, sex, age, race or birth.
- What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I'm not that much trouble to my parents at all, and help out whenever needed. They have no right to hurt me in any way at all, and if they do it then I hit them back, simple as that. It's mostly my mom making a drama out of things and running out of things to say or punish me for, because she knows I'm right but refuses to admit it.

That about sums it up!

Seriously though, it all depends on the situation. I dont promote beating on them, but there are times when it may be deserved.

Yeah eh, that's the problem with kids today. We all used to get punished by a smack on the butt, or for some of us, the belt. And we turned out fine.

Fucking babies this lot are. :P

Seriously, one parent punished me that way, another didn't, but the fear was still there. Good way to keep your kids outta trouble. Too bad it only half worked on me.

Baby?

Meh.. I am a lot hardier than some of you... I've been beaten up as a 7-year old by about five 15-year olds. -- Repeatedly.

Had several such beatings, but I've inflicted some cases of broken noses myself.. That added with a teacher actually hitting me, and whole primary hating me... I am glad I had good parents or I'd have taken care of myself long ago.

My parents were violent with my sibling, but not with me. It didn't do a damned bit of good for the sibling because he just learned to resent/hate them and tried to kill everyone in our house at least once (we became good friends with the local cops). The more he resented them, the worse his behavior got, and neither of them realized that they weren't doing any good.

I learned how to manipulate people from my mom, so I waged mental warfare on her until she got to the point that she wouldn't dare punish me for anything. Not that there was anything to punish since I was always the stereotypical "good kid."

Now, my relationship with my mom is great (for the most part) and no one has heard from the sibling or the father in years.

No..

It is a pretty calm town. But the primary school is the worst in the Netherlands.. And there was some sort of gang of pupils.

We moved house now, and high school is okay.

But let's not derail topic. This was about parents.

Well I don't remember so I don't care. What I do remember is the feeling of being pushed underwater 'til I stopped crying. >.> If I wasn't like 6 I would've put her in the same situation. My dad didn't care, his definition of marriage includes doing anything my mom says. I called him her puppy once, they got really angry then. LOL the funniest thing was that he was like "yeah" to everything my mom yelled at me at that moment. I was like "Then what's your opinion about this, dad?" "yeah umm.. what she just said!"

And yeah the netherlands are pretty badass.
