I was pretty sure they existed. Can we get a correction on the spelling in the game too?

LangD to the rescue!

Well, it's still "monacle" behind the scenes but changing that name would break a lot of stuff so now it was just "translated" so that it looks right.

I'm not completely against the idea of letting people spawn with clothes, but there's a good chance that could go wrong. It should only allow spawning with clothing that are common in the location. And what if all the people wearing certain type of clothing were from a group of visitors? Would they then assume that the newspawn must have spawned from their group since he's clothed?

If everyone wanted a Blackrock or a Stone Knight, and had the ability to spawn in those locations, those groups would become lopsidedly powerful (not to mention the ability to cluster with your OOC friends). In fact, that argument alone kills this idea entirely. :p

so what your basically saying is you don't trust people to use such a function without cheating and " clustering with OOC friends "....wow.

i'm giving up on this topic. don't get me wrong i respect the fact that you want to keep the game fair.....but seriously your assuming the absolute worst. but i guess it's best to avoid the worst then open up the possibility of it happening.

FYI, i lost my account against my will and want a toon back in my favorite town. thats my reason why i want to spawn a character wherever i want. to get back what i didn't deserve to lose in the first place......and in case anyone is wondering i've never had much respect for CR as it is so easy to break it even when your trying to follow the rules.

and notsure. getting him killed was the most efficient course of action available at the time. i'd rather not have two toons that close together.

oh and i don't care if everyone spawned a blackrock or stone knight. cantr is beaten and at times quite boring. maybe those groups can get enough numbers to do something fun for once.

He just came back.

Anyway, I don't like offering clothes, but spawning by location type is really good and could probably be easily integrated into the current spawning scheme, since a check is done already.

Yeah, but still, a quick trip 'round the forum should make you realize there are more less intelligent people playing Cantr than you'd imagine.

What about using credits to shorten the cooldown time of being able to respawn a new character after another has died?

Personally, I think using credits for anything in game, clothing, spawn locations and so on, is a breach of the CRB as you are using an OOC influence to gain IC rewards. To be honest, I think my own suggestion can even fall into the CRB breach as well, since it is something that is being rewarded in game.

If the staff is really serious about preserving the CRB, then they need to do it all around, and only allow points to be rewarded with things that have no influence on any aspect of playing the actual game.

Buying minutes affected the game as well...

Yep, and I never spent a single point.

Which pretty much lead me to think of the CRB as BS since it seems to be okay to allow it when it benefits the game (such as promoting and so on)

It's shallow and inneffective to "spam votes" on game sites... are you looking for the type of players who care what "ratings" games have on certain sites? Also... do you want Cantr to get the reputation as a game that encourages its players to constantly vote, even to the point of providing rewards to do so.

just as an FYI I did have a charrie who wanted to travel...and happened to be in a region I've played a large role in the past in...but I knew BEFORE this charrie spawned that they wanted to wander....so it wasn't a CRB! :p

How about:

Different spawning messages at the cost of points.

Spawning options at the cost of points. (Densely or scarcely populated town/ Town with multiple language groups/Newspawn food that can't be traded and vanishes on death or droppage)
