well only one way to find out now is there? i mean, you'd also have to mention that in OOC. when you mention that your going to pretend it happened and you need his/her character to play along he/she can then object. and if so, the story is she resisted.

does that work?

The most recent case goes like, I asked the player's age, telling in four words what my character feels like doing but that I shouldn't do it with a minor, they reply calling me a sick fuck, say they're 16 and proceed to attempt suicide IC. Which is going to take at least a couple of days due to the fighting system. I tried to assist him with that but missed. I'm not going to interact with him anymore even though it's OOC, because the suicide itself is also OOC since my character never made advances on him nor voiced his intentions. It was only expressed OOC.

either way.......w/e. you did the right thing in asking first. they basically say no ( in not so few words ) and go straight to suicide before anything else happens. am i understanding the scenario correctly? their reaction is normal ( especially if they don't go to the forums and get to know some of the players......quite the bunch of people we are :lol:

) but the IC suicide is their fault

you used four words to describe it? probably way too few. maybe you should have.....i dunno. said something.

80% Rant/ 20% question: Is it technically a CRB to have a char do a 180 on their future plans just to get away from a terribly RP'd char that's managed to find a, slightly better but still awfully RP'd, "partner"? I've been guilty of "shiting" from weak Rpers to the latter. My character and myself are drawn to them. Just make a good, if not random, in character reason and not talk about it again on the forum.

Well, if those characters make your character want to smash his brain out with a brick, I don't think it's a CRB. You're avoiding annoying persons in real life, why shouldn't your characters in game?

I finally let my oldest character die today after waffling and saving it at the last minute for far too long. Another should be going in four days or so and I'm debating a couple more after that. I'll replace them all eventually, though.
