The latest kid didn't say or emote anything in his first year, then when he's old enough to speak, he's like "hello / where is everybody? / hello" Makes me think of a robot. We went to do some mining and left him behind since he can cook his own meat. He hasn't followed so I think my interpretation of "he doesn't need a mommy" was correct.

I'm gonna be a really bratty kid.
Going to act so spoiled and attention crazed.

Perhaps I'll induce a sugarrush on myself before talking as well.
For that extra adhd kick.

You can do projects when you're one years old, but can't travel until you're five.

But maybe traveling inside a mine doesn't count since it doesn't take time to move between the caverns?

Oh, I thought you meant you went mining in another location. Never mind. Travelling in mines can be done by anyone.

I think by the time i reach the front of the que, im 415 right now, i'll have lost any and all interest in the game. And i think there are a good number of people who think the same way I do.

FTO is awesome! I think it would be worth the wait. Mining is cool, it means people can most likely keep on expanding the world indefinitely so there will always be new areas to map. Perfect for explorers. Communities seem too small for socializers though, and killers, and with the resources being shared thing and all projects ending up on the ground, it would be difficult for an achiever too.

Yeah, out of Cantr down time and slightly boredom I decided that it "was time" a little while back. I keep forgetting I'm even signed up until someone from Cantr says something about FTO/I read about FTO via Cantr.

I think they try to fix that by sending you an email upon character birth.

The game is mily amusing and yet horribly limiting? I coulda told you that from day one without actually playing the game.

Cantr has possibilities but only minor ones as the game is basically "done", unlike FTO which is still in Beta.

That ALL BEING SAID, I'm going to give FTO a chance to amuse me.

Ooh I wonder if you're one of "my" one year olds.

1 year olds can work on projects and forage.. you can forage as a newborn even.

To forage, see the "Nature" window to the bottom left side of the screen, pick an area and click the shopping cart icon, you'll get a popup with some options on length of time and whether to forage something specific.

To start a project, see the "Construction" window on the bottom right, if there is a house icon next to an item, you can construct it. If there is an X icon, you're lacking a tool. Items don't show up to construct until all the materials are available - then you just need to guess what tool is required and wield it.

Thanks, Chase. I just figured out how to help on a project. I'll try the forage next.
