I heard database access was required. I asked a while back. We'll have to wait.

Good point Piscator. That would indeed make more sense.

Actually database access is now available so technically I could move the corpse to a vessel docked to the sloop but I'm not sure if we're allowed to do that. As far as I know it has never been done before.

Since so many different towns and boats and people are involved, it wouldn't be fair to move it to whoever asks for it. So many people wanted it moved, and so many people tried to get in. In my opinion we should really just wait.

Players have used and counted on the "blocked ship" strategy before (if you kill me, you won't be able to get on the boat), so to start moving bodies would set a dramatic new precedent.

Same with buildings though. At least one of my characters was planning to use that strategy with a building.

And just like that there are a whole bunch of other characters who have tried to get on it for at least 13 Cantr years (which is when I started playing). So having the body rot is so much more fair.

Except, it's not unprecedented to move bodies out of buildings. For some reason, with buildings, it a bug, but with boats, it's a feature.

I guess you'd better make new plans then.

With buildings, there's always an "outside". But when a boat isn't docked anywhere, there is no outside.

Shouldn't move bodies from vehicles that have been around for a while, but we could still start doing it with the future ones. If it's a fresh corpse then the first person on the spot could get the vehicle, assuming they make a request. Just gotta make a list of vehicles that are blocked at the moment and won't ever be unblocked. Since logically there shouldn't be a difference between moving something to a parent location and moving it to a child location.

That sounds fair.
