Thanks for the graph, joo.

Is it possible to see a graph for new players and total players over time?

After a lot of trying I managed to get a count of how many times different people have spoken today (and it's only hour 2). It doesn't limit age since including that would require joining a third table and honestly I think that would make the server choke. The result was 1711 people have spoken in public at least once and 438 people have spoken in private. Both queries took about three minutes. I had to run them separately since including both made it look like it was going to freeze.

Hmm, actually come to think of it, younger characters should have bigger character ids so if I limited the search to people with high (or low) enough character ids, that might get you the answer without having to join a third table.

Edit:
807 people under the age of 30 (23.3% of the whole amount) have spoken in public and 177 (5.1%) have spoken in private at least once today. That means 47.2% of public and 40.4% of private speakers are in their twenties.

68 people who are very old (32.9%) have spoken in public today and 11 (5.3%) in private, so 4.0% of public and 2.5% of private chatters are very old. Also relatively speaking the old folks seem to be chattier.

72.9% of all characters haven't said anything in public today.

There are 6378 living characters scattered into 2089 locations ("traveling" counts as a single location while vehicles are counted separately). This gives an average of 3.1 characters per location. 352 people are walking at the moment. 1160 people are alone in their locations.

Total amount of keys in-game.
Total amount of copies for one key.

Thought these two would be interesting :P

I think this might have been done before, but... number of boats with nobody alive inside (or in cabins inside), which are not docked to a town -- and are not docked to a boat containing people, and don't have boats docked to the with people inside. Basically, number of abandoned boats out at sea. (This may be difficult to do using only SQL).

joo should also have added, "How manyboats with no one alive on them."

That might be easier then looking for 100% abandoned ones but might also not get the exact statistics you're looking for.

That was the first thing he said, Dudel. :P It's pretty hard to figure out abandoned boats and ships I guess.

I'm not sure yet if there's an easy way of figuring out which locations are boats (or even vehicles in general) short of making a list of all the type ids. It sounds like a lot of work.

Most number of notes a single person is carrying. (this includes notes in envelops in envelopes in envelopes... you get the point)

There are 37942 keys with 20605 different numbers. That means approximately 1.84 keys per number. I'm not sure if it would be possible to search for max count, at least you can't use a calculated field for sorting so I assume that wouldn't work either. I eyed through the pages up to page 20 or so and the biggest number of copies was 16 that far, but the key numbers were only starting with 1 by that point.

I was personally curious about how many people use the filter options in the account menu, and turns out there are only 3 players who have turned off build many images (or 13 if you count ones who are not playing at the moment) as opposed to the over 1500 active players who either want to see them or don't give a damn. And I remember marol was practically pulling his hair out with the frustration of having to add the option to turn off every new interface implementation.

Ooh, wanna see stats of how many charries are not carrying any keys?

There are currently 6454 characters out of which 3006 have at least one key in their inventory. That leaves 3448 people without any keys, so you're not alone.

Oh, well, there are keys with more copies than just sixteen, one of my characters made one for everyone in her town.
