Zero Grams (low priority)

Postby El_Skwidd » Tue Jun 16, 2009 6:34 pm

I've come across 0 (zero) grams of salted meat. I figured I could just pick it up and "eat" it during the next eat cycle, but found that I can't pick it up. This isn't a game-ending bug or anything, but I figured I should report it anyway.

The meat is (is not?) in Karnon Forest, Cottage Home. There's an extension on that building, and the bug is not in that extension.

Thanks :D

If you want to get rid of a zero pile, just drop some of the same resource type and the piles will merge. ProgD doesn't fix these because it can be solved in-game.

This shouldn't happen though.

Someone should look at the project completion, dropping, taking stuff out of containers, and dying code to see if they can fix this.

A character cannot pick up 0 grams of resources and the player has to know all this or even knowing it, has to get the same kind of resources to clean an error? I don't really think so.

I assume that it happens when a pile deteriorates, leaving less than 1 gram behind. And I wasn't saying that the person should travel to the end of the world to get salted meat, just saying that if someone in the location has some, they can delete the pile in-game in much shorter time than it would take me to log into the database. If you have a tool that does it faster then good for you. I seem to remember in the past it was a "fix it in-game" kind of error but I'll stay out of it next time.

I thought it was a deterioration thing also, but since this was in a building, that can't be the case (unless it was dragged in from outside).
