Portable barrel

Postby OktawiaN :) » Fri Jun 12, 2009 6:32 am

I would like portable small barrel, or barrels with posibble to push them. Barrels sholud have their names or signs also. It would help to improve the commercial climate. Barrel it is always possible in order to push even if we weren't fed up with strength to push wage of raw materials being in it.

I support this suggestion, although the labeling part would require programming so it's less likely to happen, but RD could easily add a portable/draggable barrel.

Yeah.... why cant things like that be moved? A barrel isnt stuck to the ground in real life, so it shouldnt be in the game.

Well, in theory anything that's not attached to the ground should be movable. It's just hard to do that in practice. And what do you do for movable things that can only be inside or outside, and someone tries to move them to an invalid location?

Well back when I redid all the storage containers we thought about this, but decided to stick with only allowing small storage containers such as the apothecary kit and plate to be movable. I can't remember why they decided on that because it was about 2 years ago, but I just set them up like I was told. I was in charge of changing all the capacities for the storage containers and adding a few new ones in there.

barrels

I agree with this. Also, it would be nice to see inside of storage units and be able to choose what to take w/o emptying the whole thing.

It would be REALLY nice to have a stone storage unit.

If this topic can be extended to suggesting more storage units in general, I'd like to see a hide sack. And there could also be a leather shoulder bag and purses of different materials. The shoulder bag could use a buckle or two. Oh and you could make bags with zippers to allow more storage capacity per less building materials since it keeps things from falling out and conserves space. Seriously, I implemented the zippers before resigning but as far as I know they haven't been used on anything because somebody thought they are too unfair for clothing.

Alright, I am kind of in the middle of several projects right now, and being the only active RD member right now I have a lot to keep up with. I don't mind looking into this and adding a few new storage items as well as seeing what can be done about dragging barrels and crates. If I remember correctly though, that was never implemented for the reason that Doug R. stated.

Once I finish with what I am working on I will come and take a look at this.
