Burning Evidence

Postby Báng » Mon Apr 12, 2004 10:52 pm

Be it paper or bodies...just a way to dispose of evidence unnoticed. Can't very well drag a body outside and just bury it infront of everyone...could burn it and say you don't know what happened it though!

Just an idea!

Interesting idea. Yet more reasons to have a sneaky criminal character... Apart from the fact that evil is very often fun.

I personally like this idea hence being my character A pychotic sociamaniac. You burn down the pak police station.

You set fire to the body of a man in his twenties.

You burnt your fingers.

Your house catches fire from the burning body.

You are dead.

Well, being a minor Pyromaniac (as in, I dont do anything dangerous, I just like fire), I think it should definitely be included. Setting fire to buildings could be fun for a madman type character.

You see man in his thirties trying to set fire to -General Store- with a flaming torch.

You see a man in his thirties drop a flaming torch on his foot.

A man in his thirties says "*Screams in pain as his boot catches fire*".

I like this idea. but can we also burn down buildings, please. Some times there are buildings that you don't want there anymore.....like jails  we could just burn them down. Also if we could have a way for a char to beable to move around with out being seen, sort of like "Stealth" he can go in buildings and such without being seen doing it. The chars name would still show up on the people page though. Also there could be a "Scout" button for keeping an eye out, by doing this, the chances are more likely the Stealth char will be seen.

I also like the idea of burning things.
But in reguards to burning buildings, why not install some form of deconstruction project, in which case something like 50% of the original materials used will appear on the ground.

Can't Wait my precious flame burn burn BURN  The real reason my character wants to burn down the police station in pak becuase he think it an evil conspiracy and "Boss" might be there and they have it out for him. "US" gave that away. Time to die :x . To bad there's not a punisher type smiley like with dual shot guns and the skull painted on his face...

Building destruction/deconstruction is being discussed on other threads.

On topic: I 'm not sure the ability to destroy notes is that useful. Instead of burning a note, why not just pick it up? Burning bodies might be interesting, though. Hmm.

But what would be the point of burning a body when you can just bury them?

Can't bury bodies in buildings. Shane B wants to get ris of the body so no one would notice that someone died inside.

burning notes and envelopes should be implimented, this way people can dispose of top secret information, or sadistic criminals can burn maps. you realise if you got something and you get killed other people can get it which includes notes so if you had something you wanted nobody to see and you were at risk of being killed, you should be able to permanently dispose of it. either than or be able to eat a note taking 5 or 10 damage (you gotta have a really good reason for wanting to get rid of the note) hehehe how else would societies develope espionage if they can't get rid of notes.

Noting all of the sadistic note thieves currently plaguing Cantr, I don't think this is a good idea.

it's no problem, any smart ruler would have a copy of all the important notes so he/she could just make an extra copy and put it on the ground.

As you will see, if Jos gives his opinion, that Jos is against this for certain reasons. I agree that notes should have some way to be destroyed but I also know that would mean about 90% of the notes in Cantr will disappear for good because of some idiots burn them to be assholes.

If they madeit hard to burn notes and somewhat of a bother then maybe because then people with real reasons (destroying evidence etc...) will the ones to most likely use them.
