Marian, thank you for your praise, but it's really quite easy to form a prejudice in cantr. You can hate a person by age, sex, type of clothing, what letter their name begins with, what town they are from, level of wealth, or just simply hate a person for no reason at all.
As for you Dudel, I appreciate your chastisement, but what is up with this "people don't read comment". I begrudgingly read all of what you wrote after you said that (forget waterboarding, dudeling is by far the worst type of torture one could bestow upon any person), yet I still have no idea what you are talking about.

He was saying that you outright saying that you would kill any character with a speech impediment, with any of your characters, was a CRB.
Dudel is interpreting it as the fact that if all(marian, see this, "all" not one) your characters kill people with speech impediments because you as a player don't like it, then you're not really following the CR (which is about playing each character as an individual).
But for all we know, every single one of your characters could hate people who talk weird, for their own separate reasons, right? Guess we'll never know...
Idriveayugo, dudel's "People dont read comment" was directed at marian, I believe, not you, for misunderstanding what he was saying.
At any rate, it's all a matter of opinion and perspective. I guess we'll never know if idriveayugo kills characters who speak weird with all of his because its in all of their natures to do so, or if he does it because he as a player cannot stand it.
(I'd advise not posting to clarify the above, in case it does turn out its a matter of a CR breach). Look at me, sticking up for everyone. I win.

I got 8 characters, 7 of whom are responsible for 2 deaths combined at most because I barely develop them.
The other one....well....that character you don't wanna come across.
Regardless of which, if I say "i kill people who have a speech impediment", it doesn't necessarily mean all of my chars do. It just means I do.
Could I have clarified it better? Perhaps, but then we would not have had such a fun conversation (and I would have never came up with my awesome dudeling=torture joke).

Well that settles that. It's one character, who has a predisposition to hate people who dunt tak rite.
Who can blame him?
The End.
The End.

I had a tough guy character that had a slight speech impediment that embarrassed him beyond belief. It would sort of just flare up sometimes, and he'd have trouble spitting a word out. He got quite aggravated by it.
As for accents, I'd had three characters with them. 1. Acquired it from his mentor in his spawn town. 2. Was spawned in an abandoned town and drew out his vowels. 3. Spent 5+ years on a boat in silence, and wound up leaving words out of his sentences or using the wrong terms for things sometimes, until he adjusted back into society.

Looks like I did. If you're not, go on and correct me. Him is my default.
Edit : was saying him towards character, not player.

Who says my character is a him?
That's prejudice of you to assume such things Amber.
Some one call in Seko, this is grounds for CRB using the Dudel precedent.

Dudel wrote:Meh, people don't read!
Wait, so that was aimed at me? I honestly don't know.
idriveayugo wrote:Due to concerns that people in the cantr community may suffer from heart problems because of my comment, I must reiterate that I stated "well then stay the hell away from one of my characters".
I'm pretty sure I read and comprehended that post just fine though?
edit: Agree about the derail, this whole conversation is just getting silly now. Let's talk about how badly we want to marginalize and murder characters that never use capital letters instead, and how we justify it in a way that's technically not a CRB instead.

Lol Marian it was the part where he said "I kill" before he said that, that got everyone in mood.
And for the future, things don't have to be investigated cuz Dudel says so
He was merely responding it would be a breach if all their characters did it because they as a player didn't like it. Idriveayugo had said "I kill" which generalized, and caused a few of us to misunderstand before clarification was made..and why am I repeating myself?
I think I've said this like twice before lmao. Its not that hard to understand.
EDIT: yes, kill the non-CAPSers. Though some people have a reason for doing it. My friend does with one character, and her reason makes me scream bs but she just laughs at me.

Yes that 'comment' about reading was at you Marian, sorry.
I don't give praise to PKers EVER but... I'm ALL for prejudice in Cantr! Raise the RP flag for anyone who spices things up with a little violence. Reb etc has 'cleared up' what the 'issue' was. However Yugo should learn to make things more clear as some of us take things rather literal, self included. The phrase "well then stay the hell away from one of my characters" actually implies that my one character should avoid ALL of yours but whatever.
I don't have a 'real problem' with killing people as long as there is an IC reason for it. If there isn't, as was implied, then I've a HUGE problem. Think I said something about 'necessary evil' in the Adam thread?
Whats this about 'Dudeling'?
ANYWAY! I like ANYTHING that adds a little random and oddity to the world without fully disrupting. This includes 'quirks' and stutters but omits death. Personally the only speech pattern that actually annoys me is the 'Normie' speak. Unless English isn't... ISN'T... your native tongue you should have SOME FORM of slang or SOMETHING 'wrong' with the way your character speaks, ESPECIALLY if you're American. NOBODY in America 'speaks right'!
HOWEVER, I do think that dialects etc should be learned or taught by those around the character, just like IRL. Unless the character is 'born stupid' there really isn't a reason to have it form out of nothing. I know that my characters 'steal' words and behaviors from others especially my 'quirky' one as he wants NOTHING MORE then to fit in.
On another note I myself have a character that isn't 'big' on 'funny talkers' but I'm also not one to PK as I don't see that as constructive to the game, EVEN THIEVES!
I don't mind 'poor grammar' or 'poor spelling' so much as boring characters.
