Hiding unnecessary buttons
This would increase the number of queries on a page but I think it would be kinda neat if the P button would only be displayed for people who are actually dragging someone or working on a project, the hit button would only be displayed if you are allowed to hit the person and eat only for healing foods.

Yes! This would help SO MUCH or at least would 'stream line' the interface a bit.
I like this idea as it would actually tell people what food could be eaten who could be hit and if/when someone could be dragged.
It limits the guessing... it would be like working on a project and then trying to leave your location. The button just..isn't there.

I completely agree with you, Seko. Only showing the buttons/possible actions you actually can perform would be a big improvement, but, as you say, this would considerably increase the server load.
Unfortunately, with the game on the verge of overstressing the server this simply isn't possible.
