Creativity

Postby *Wiro » Sun Feb 15, 2009 1:50 pm

Has anyone else ever thought about using the resources in-game to make new things or play a game with? Caramelizing sugar? Making limestone or coal smudges on some paper and then start scratching paintings on the smudges with the end of a feather? Digging a hole in the ground and rolling limestone rocks towards it, trying to get it in the hole? Making paint with berries? Or... after caramelizing sugar, throwing it in half a coconut untill it solidifies, taking it out of the coconut and start selling these caramel sweets? :)

I would love to hear what other creativity people have put into the game. ^^

Once I made a fan by sticking feathers into a potato. I also tend to use natural colors in drawings unless I'm making them in MSPaint. I pretty much never use blue because that cannot be made from any resources, instead I use gray.

http://www.cantr.net/mwiki/index.php/Blueberries :) Although it'd be more purple-ish blue, I think. Berries would also be great for make-up. That fan idea is epic. :P Hm... Hide could be used as package. You could make some delicious drinks out of berries and alcohol, too. (Served in half a coconut, of course!)

I've tried using blueberry for color in real life, the result is actually red.

Try to add some limestone, ideally burnt lime. The pigments should be blue in an alkaline milieu.
Pretty in pink.

Don't forget cobalt. Cobalt salts have long been used to create blue pigments. Cobalt (CoO) and alumina (Al2O3) when exposed to high temperatures will result in "Cobalt Blue" (CoAl2O4), a common and vivid blue color.

haha, I have a character that drinks the blood of the animals he kills to survive. The only reason he eats "normal people food" is to look normal. :)
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked in to jet engines... :P
