Sneezing sickness is so endemic on Treefeather island now that its existence is simply ignored in most towns. Can we please admit that this mechanism has failed and eliminate it?

It IS ignored a lot. I think it should be something that just happens RARELY. And doesn't infect the whole town. I try to RP it but with it dissapearing really quickly sometimes it's impossible to RP being sick and stuff. Cantr is slowpaced, so why the randomness that kills the sneezes so fast?

I don't think it failed, though. It needs added tiredness and a cure. No more randomness either. Sneezes equals sickness and they don't go away in 2 days. Else it just doesn't fit the "Slow-paced" theme of the game. Especially when RPing with people that sleep all the time. >.>

Hmm, Wichita said in an old post in this topic that the crew is busy. Are they busy at the moment as well? They don't let anyone know anything, so we don't know what's going on. Could someone from ProgD please give us a short update?

It serves only to annoy and adds nothing to Cantr. It's failed.

In its current implementation sickness doesn't add anything to the game.
But it would if there were ways to prevent (less clutter, a diverse diet, personal hygiene, enough sunlight) and cure (apothecary mixtures/medicine, resting inside a building) sickness.
I think ...

Yes, but until this happens, can we please get rid of the current failed implementation?

From what I saw, it was mostly ignored even as it was spreading. Because people had characters on Cantr Isle, their characters on Treefeather treated it like it was common. Drove me nuts.

to be honest...all the sneezing sickness is atm is a waste of minutes checking new events just to see 5 or so people sneeze simultaneously

There was a cure, though the people that knew it in whatever department left... at least, that's what I heard.

Oh, there's a cure, but that needs a lot of buildings and considerably more time wasted.
