I'm not exactly sure what you mean. :?
Normally, a Russian player who plays one of the 13 (or something) Russian characters, would have less RP-moments with the majority as there aren't that many people who understand Russian. So all that's left is the other Russian characters, which are played by.. what? 6 different people? So that makes 6 votes. (This all assuming that they're all on the same location, too) That compared to what English characters would get is such a huge difference. Correct me if wrong.

Hmm, but many English players are also in very quiet areas, no? Is that aspect really so different across language groups?

There's definitely a difference. In the English area people can afford to go everywhere as they don't have to worry about the possible dangers.
But, for example the two islands that have German, Spanish, French and Dutch people on it... People gather in towns there that become big. Else it's too dangerous. And there's work enough in those towns.

In the English towns the towns tend to be a lot less close and cosy. Simply because they have everything they need to survive.

I heard the Swedish and Finnish groups travel a lot, so that makes it hard for them to be recognized by other players. There are three small French towns, I think.

Spanish and Polish group are scattered around everywhere. With big groups here and there.

So, yeah, I guess the English are spread out quite a lot. But there are still the lots of big cities with 15+ people. I can imagine a Dutch character popping up there as there are Dutch towns with that much people in it.
Spanish as well. But the French? And the russian? Sure they would want to appear on the list as well sometimes, no? :P

To me this still sounds absolutely like random variation - very similar to the differences between some English islands or some English areas. They differ a lot too. I don't think this calls for separation by language when you have a rating system.

I'm surprised this idea doesn't lead to more discussion :-)

It's hard to remember what has happened in a year or who impressed you with what.

Who says a year? I mean, if we implement it systematically, it would be a continuous thing ...

Yeah, OP. If this got actually implemented in the game, that would be great. But how would it work? Would you just give people good RP points and bad RP points or would there be several categories like here?

Several categories, of course. Else you won't know why a certain character is good or bad. :P
