Mild CR breach in Lake Village

Jake (currently in Lake Village) talked about how he fought for the Lad Army and killed 14 people etc. to one of my characters on the road to Quillanoi.

I find it strange that someone in their "twenties" could have managed to be in the Lad Army, know of Cantr City, having visited Quillanoi etc.
When my character confronted him IC he said he had to turn back since he had some business in Lake Village to take care of, and that he would join up with them later in Quillanoi.
The thing is that I have another character in Lake Village, so I now see that he returned talking about deciding not to go at all and seeking steady employment.

He may of course have heard these things from others, and just plain lied about it, but it is probably a CR breach.

The things said were on the road between Lake Village and Quillanoi...

Yes, I was beginning to wonder about that guy too but I think the character is trying to lie. He kept talking about a General Ian something and there isn't any General Ian in Lad. and other people I have never heard of.

Yes, but the problem is that he might never even have heard of Lad and Cantr City in-game, so it would stille be a breach.

Especially since he talked about a war between the two, wich is something a lot of people feared in the region when I was there.
(I haven't had anyone in the region for years, so I don't know what is up with the situation now.)

I even told him OOC that he is breaking the rules if the talks about stuff his characters doesn't know, but he didn't respond.

It's not a big thing, but if he is breaking the rules like that he might do it with other characters and under more serious circumastances...
