Yaaa! That's something to be proud of. Although there's the fact some (not all ) people would act differently when in danger.
I had one really stubborn and rude character die pretty young because he was rude. And not even that rude either. (Something that wouldn't even get you harmed in any way at all in real life
But he died proud. ^^

I try not to be a tyrant. Simply because I realize if you go around killing people before bothering to give at least some small chance----You drive players away. You may also be missing out on the potential of what could be a great relationship. (Lately, it's become less and less true for me. It's seldom that I lock someone up and let them go that I don't have to lock them up a second time) but it used to be that people were rehabilitated/converted ........Straightened out if you will. Not so much these days. People either play the hardlined criminal who won't ever change and only wants to see how much he can trick you to make you look stupid or they play the sort who never admitt to having done any wrong and end up dying because they spit on your shoes because you locked them up for stealing what they think they had a right to take. There never seems to be anything between those two personalities anymore.
I hate people.

It's a tough truth, that's for sure, Missy. Personally, I have a lot of fun with feuds in game... Not to the point where it gets overly dramatic and annoying, or to the point where somebody dies, but it can be a TON of fun to have a couple adversaries in any given town. Sometimes it's quiet and gritty, other times it's loud and open.
For all those people that say cantr has a ceiling, well... You just haven't found your rivals yet, or you just haven't had the patience to play something out.

I've never heard of that happening. My brain says that would only happen if it was an OOC influence that made the character try and kill the other elder Cantrian. If that was the case then PD would be contacted. I know I would!

Speaking as a former pd member, Pd does not interfere just to stop you from killing older characters. They interfere when there is a legitimate reason to believe a CRB may be taking place.

Still, I think it's unfair for the Players Department to lock only that one person's account during a dispute. This presented an unfair advantage to the other players' characters, enabling them to kill my character. What's the point of that?

Maybe so, but not sure how you would know if the other player was locked or not. They quite possibly could have been as well. I know of many times multiple accounts were locked for certain situations. Either way if this is an issue with a current case, you should if you have issue with how pd handled it take it to the GAB, this isn't the place for it.

If someone is not aware of the reasons behind someone attacking their character then it's easy to start suspecting foul play. I bet in most cases there's a legitimate reason. But it certainly sucks if someone gets killed while their account is locked. If people's accounts can't time out while they're locked then they should also be immune to damage and hunger. Locking accounts is supposed to be a preventive measure against causing more harm but if the character(s) suffer during the lockup then it's more like a punishment before a trial - and if they find out afterwards that the player accused wasn't cheating then it might be too late for their character.

I know it was the case because it wasn't until after my account was locked that the other character started to dock the boat, and that allowed that character and associates to kill mine. Hardly fair. I've already sent a message to the GAB, but I doubt anything will be done about it.
