Um... sorry you people are sober?

Dudel doesn't drink and never has. Enjoys being able to understand most things and has seen that alcahol usually results in the adverse.

I have gas and it don't feal good.

>To Mr. Black: Breathe and calm down when asking girls to dance... whatever dance it is. It can backup the lack of courage. Also, from your comment about bleeding eyes, appearance is nothing really. If you are a nice guy and very simpathic or, erm, rich, there will be no problem. :D

Except in extreme cases appearance can be a real wall, like of Mr. Brian Peppers. (search for it, and your eyes will bleed. For real.)

>To Dudel: I am playing Victoria: A Empire Under the Sun. It ain't so hard, I am doing it without cheating or such. But it is a farly complex game and it is not unusual to end up in frustrating alleys.

>Thought: Capitalism works, if you consider it has never promised to end poverty. Greedy, greedy and greedy.

>Rant: There is few rage filled rants in this topic! AR!!!

Saw the name of the game and wen't WTF! Then I did some research and it looks like a very average and boring rts. Ignore the fact that my favorite sites didn't even relized it existed. Have fun with that Gran looks like your in for a world of horrible graphics mediocer game play and a brutal A.I.

There seem to be a few mods out for it that would make the game more um... interesting.

Not a cheater myself unless of course I'm done with the game and wan't 'more' out of it. (Rare case usually I just keep playing it untill I know its ins and outs to the point of obsurdity)

I liked the average rating for the game too, 60%, which means that I would more then likly I'd give it a 1. The 1-100 and 1-10 point scale for rating video games failes.

I like the 1-5 rating system.

1=FAIL!
2=Hey this looks like a game sorry it don't play like one. (Your game)
3=Hey this looks like a playable game that doesn't suck but isn't good. (Cantr and Syrnia's rating)
4=Holy cow this is fun but something feels wrong.
5=REVOLUTION!

Browser based games can't have more then a 3 when compared to EVERY type of game. When compared to other browser games Cantr is a 4 and Syrnia is still a 3

Thats a rant, or a ramble, if I ever did type one!

Every concept works, depending on the goals you set.

>Dudel: Erm... thanks for offending my game and the my favorite style of game. :roll: Still, Victoria isn't anyway perfect, far from that. Bitches made that game with a giant map, more then 1000 territories and a complex reasearch system but without any tutorial. People compare the first match to the intro video: A train coming in your way. When you first play, I'll feel like it hit you.

As to graphics, if you haven't realized, I don't care for it. I compare graphics thinking in their own technology. The graphics of the game were pretty nice for a 2D game. The only problem I would rant about is that Brazil has badly designed borders.

>Tiamo: And that's the trick. I can pretty much build a time machine. But I cannot guarantee it will work anyway.

Gran man don't be mad. My favorite games are old SNES games for crap sakes. Also I love Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for my Xbox(original) and its one of the buggy pieces of garbage I've ever seen but I still love it. Oh and the characters don't even talk half the time but I can read so its cool.

Better example most Final Fantasy games get HORRIBLE reviews but people LOVE them anyway. I like the old FF games tho so I'm not sure if thats a good example after all.

If I honestly offended you then I suggest you ignore me and pretend that I never said that to begin with. Thats what I do. (Dudeism # 1)

Talent.
I have a character that is an expert in seven fields, skillful in four, four efficient, three novice and two awkward.
Granted some of these skills are improved, I still think it seems rather impressive. Maybe the rest of my characters are just useless?

Raw skills don't mean a lot in terms of success. To be succesful you have to be lucky, quick-witted, innovative and patient. Having high skills will just allow you to achieve things quicker than other people.

The only exception to this is really fighting skill, where it, along with strength does play a big part in a character's success in some paths.

One of my characters is good at EVERYTHING except fighting.
Another one of mine is bad at like, everything except hunting. And she's a little good at cooking.

I wish I had a few more fighters though. The ones that should be good fighters suck at fighting and the ones that don't need it are supah-pwnage-fighters.

She wasn't spawned on Omeo island was she? That's where my char with a complete whitewash of being useless at everything spawned.

Both of the characters I mentioned are Dutch ones.

Omeo island is creepy. I have one Dutch char there. The only Dutch people on Omeo island are EITHER in the next place my char will arrive at or in a boat, a few places back. If the people aren't there anymore he'll commit suicide. :roll:

Omeo Island IS really weird. It's seriously like time has slowed down there....one of my chars left there (more than 4 days ago) because of the fact that there were so many Polish there.

Myself, I think it's that there are so few people there, really. It seemed pretty un-populated when I was there, though there were more buildings than most places.
