The school has decided not to allow Cantr to be played in class and used as a teaching tool. They are affraid the students may break the capital rule and ruin the game for the rest of us, and they are affraid of disputes from in the game becoming a problem in the class.
They were also concerned about the forum but I couldn't get much out of them about that. Its to bad because had it worked out the calss would have made donations. But I can still get the students to try the game at home though

That's pretty sad. Though it will save the Player's Department a bit of work.

About the forum, I imagine our debates in the Non-Cantr area concerned them. Sometimes they can get a bit over the edge.

That is possible. I don't know what all they seen I wasn't there for all of it, I just let them use my accout to read the forum and then went and spoke to a few students. So we should be getting some new players still, but not as much as I had hoped.

Um...I kind of pity you if you consider people spending years of their lives just collecting carrots having a more interesting life than you ;)

Cantr is doing wonders for improving my Esperanto. I learnt it on Pal Talk and there used to be a chat room where I could learn and practice it. Now, the Esperanto world in Cantr is the last place where I can practice it daily.

No, it's an intauxlang (international auxiliary language), a language that was planned in order to be as easy as possible so that everybody could learn & use it as their second language. Its vocabulary is based on European languages (despite that, Japan, Iran and Brazil are probably the countries with the most Esperanto speakers) and its grammar is extremely easy and completely regular. One can learn it very quickly, up to 5 times as fast as any European national language.
There are other planned languages, some that aspire to be an intauxlang (like Ido, Eurish, Latine sine flexione, Volapük,...) and others that were created "just for fun" (like Klingon or Elvish). However, Esperanto is by far the most successful of those.

I like to practise my Esperanto via Cantr as well. In fact, I'm in charge of translating the game to Esperanto.

LOL I have two collage credits for conversational Klingon...I mentioned I would relearn klingon if we could put it in the game too LOL
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.
