assuming the money is worth the sacrifice, money by far.

have a favorite character of yours killed randomly but get told by the player why it happened, or have your one of your favorite towns ransacked by random thieves simply because they could and no other reason? ( but your character lives through the town getting sacked )

Killed randomly yeah it would suck but the bad rp in the other one hurts the game as a whole.

Really? I seem to remember France giving America a nice big copper statue that has now become a major symbol of their country - which was all because they wanted to get behind somebody who hated the British as much as they did... but perhaps now that Britain and America have an outward appearance of friendship, the lustre of their previous enthusiasm has worn off?

I believe so. Also, if I may inject a bit of political commentary into the situation, I think Britain's government is weak and ineffectual. No offense. But of course, that's just me and I live in Austria anyway.
