Hot-dip galvanizing

Postby BDubya » Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:21 am

A person should be allowed to have the option to plate their steel/iron products to slow down corrosion.

The process would be called Hot-dip galvanizing and would involve zinc, the item to be plated, a galvanizing device (either currently in game, or to be named later), and a tool of some sort like tongs.

Would the result be a weapon or tool like... "Galvanized steel sabre" or "galvanized hammer" ? so i guess it'd work like a diamond encrusting project.

It's a really good idea, but it would take more time to "galvanize" something, than it would to just repair it once in a while. Although I suppose that's only if your thinking realistically.

It's definitely something that would be worth implementing, but how useful would it turn out to be?.

It would be quite useful I think if a person has a large inventory of items and desires to not have to repair them for a long long long time.

I like it, you might also add other metals which would serve the same purpose, gold, silver, platinum would all work well.

I think this would be fairly easy to implement, without any programming. It is a good idea, so it should be implemented, but otherwise, it should be moved to rejected.
