These mundane activities sometimes make a hole in rp. After working too much for example, without bath sometimes I see at a certain city chars rping washing themselves in a river ( which is actually the sole river I have ever seen rpied, and it has became a "real' place in the city) or in the sea. It would be better if we had bathtubs, public baths etc... Plus, real rivers!!!

Make a room called Public Bath, and put a note down saying that there's a sauna or something in the room. Viola! There it is.

I have an idea about this:
Couldn't you just state the char name you feal is bad rping. Dont state where they are or who you are. Just state the name of the char and a reason why. Then if the person who is playing this char sees the post. They can eithor repair their rp in game. Or at least learn something from the post.
I think this would be good because it doesn't state who is playing who. And if there is a char that keeps poping up with similar reasons for a bad rp. The player could rethink how they say or do things with that char.
I'm not saying say things like this char sould stop doing this thing. I'm saying if someone is indeed misspelling, using incorrect puncuation or grammer you might want to say something.
I.E. (Char Name) might wan't to use the aprostrophie.
(mind my spelling in game I don't use words I can't spell)
(EDIT) Typed doing twice.

Indeed it might be a risk but in the end it would better the game as a whoal because that player when making/playing new chars knows better. If I saw something I thought was indeed BAD rping I would probably say something anyway I could. Just so that they wouldn't make a similar mistake on another char. I dont feal I'm qualified to say what is bad rping is but I would if I indeed knew it was bad rping. Not IC of course.
(EDIT) Droped the word is. I should really read my posts better.

I don't like the idea of being told how to play this game, the thought of having social rules being enforced by players (not characters). Or telling others such, for that matter.
I.m.o. this opposes the spirit of the Cantr game, and maybe even the CR.
The only game rules that apply here are the Capital Rule (play from the viewpoint of the character, not the player. Staff deals with breaches) and: "Deal with it in game" (react to 'bad RP' like your character would to weird behaviour, the players' responsibility).

When I started the game I was shocking at RP
Many oldies can attest to my Fidel when he first started...I had him smoking imaginary cigars! Though through my 4 years or so of cantr I have improved ten fold my role-playing ability and my English skill in general. I'm not too harsh on people who RP not very well, many of them may have just started and never experienced this before and will in time improve.
I'm quite sure many of you experienced players were not aficionados when you started so cut some slack where it is needed.

*Looks at her leave, thinking he's probably never going to see her again*
or
*Sits on the ground, bored from the lack of stimulation*
Things like that really piss me off, as they're essentially forcing impressions on the other characters when they should let players work out what's going from good RPing. In short, anything between asterisks should only be something heard or seen.
Agree, it's really annoying seeing people who do this. And they are many, seems that they don't know...
Partly because it's a Cantr-specific requirement, I believe, not a roleplay-specific requirement. I've played other games which are roleplayed, but those are roleplayed in the third person as well as in the first person. In Cantr, only first-person is allowed, and that takes getting used to if you've previously played games where it's also done in third-person.
As for bad RP, most of mine are now a bit ropey on RP because I'm too lazy to write it well. Currently trying to work out whether it's better to kill a character that is 25% of the town's citizens so that the town loses another character, or to keep her there fairly silent so that at least she can help to make things and support the town's growth and do simple helpful tasks. :-/

I should state why I indeed feal the way I do. I sometimes fear I am guilty of 'bad' rp. However I do not get random or inconsistant. I'm more scared that my play is some how ruining someone elses. So I want to know who is guilty of 'bad' rp. I dont want to state my chars because then chars in game might and probably would react to me innapropriatly.

This I know I am guilty of. However the character refers to himself in the third person. So I'm unsure.
